Mental Health being one of the seven pillars of Rotary, The Rotary Club of Colombo West has embarked on a project to Renovate and Refurbish the Psychiatric Ward No 59 at the National Hospital, Colombo which is the most significant hospital in the country. This unit treats more than 50,000 patients annually. This project is expected cost more than SLR 20 million.
We are delighted that e-Channeling by SLT Mobitel which is a subsidiary of Sri Lanka Telecom has become a partner along with other private donors to construct and finish the first phase of the project. Currently we have commenced working on the Male Section of the above ward. We will commence word on the female section once the male section work in completed.
