PROJECT REPORT
Project Name: ROTARACT INTERACT FELLOWSHIP
Avenue of Service: Club Service
Date & Time: 17th January 2010, 9.00 Am to 6.30 Pm
Objectives of the Project: To create interaction between Rotaractors and Interactors and for all Rotaractors and Interactors to get to know each other and to have a six aside cricket carnival where all Rotaractors and Interactors could enjoy themselves.
Publicity & Preparation: Awareness was created through Rotaract and Interact DCM’s, Emails and through a poster campaign.
Preparation- All activities were organized by having meeting over a period of 3 months and coordinating through email and telephone. Work was delegated to members in the organizing committee and monitored throughout.

Beneficiaries of the Project: 100 Rotaractors (From the Rotaract Clubs of ANC, Wattala Midtown, Midcity, Battaramulla and Colombo West)
150 Interactors (From the Interact Clubs of Asoka Vidiyala, Isipathana College, Nalanda College, Ananda College, St Bridgets Convent, Zahira College, AIS, St Peters College, Burani Serendib, Presidents College, Amal International School and D.S. Senanayake College.)

Outcome of the Project:
Rotaractors and Interactors interacted with each other.
Played a cricket tournament and participated in ice breaking games where they got to know each other.
They enjoyed themselves.
Learnt the true spirit of sportsmanship.
DESCRIPTION:
The Rotaract-Interact Fellowship cricket sixes and carnival was held on the 17th of January 2010 at the Race Course Grounds. The event started at 10.30 AM with all the participants taking part in ice breaking games where they got to know each other. Thereafter the six a side cricket tournament took off with sixteen Interact and Rotaract teams participating. Whilst the matches were on there were game stalls and other stalls for participants to enjoy themselves. There were about 350 participants from interact and Rotaract Clubs. The event was concluded after the awards ceremony where the chief guest Mr. Suraj Randev gave away the awards. There were joint winners for the cricket tournament, Rotaract club of Colombo Mid Town and Interact Club of Isipathana college. The best Rotaract club award was given to the Rotaract Club of wattala, whilst the best Interact College Award went out to the Interact Club of Burani Serndip College. |
