15 houses were constructed at Suriyawewa as the first phase of a centennial project conceptualised in year 2003/04. The project was carried out in association with District 1040 Yorkshire, UK and the housing project was formally commissioned on the 6th of May 2006. Another 15 houses will be built at the same location in a second phase to commence shortly.
